To
get to Shillelagh
Shillelagh is
on the Tullow, Carnew, Gorey Road. One can
approach it from Tullow or Carnew, or also from
Tinahely, or from Bunclody taking the Carnew road
from Bunclody, which then joins the Shillelagh to
Carnew Road close to Carnew.
The Catholic
Church is just outside the village. At the top of
the village is the very fine Church of Ireland
Church. The Catholic Church is about 400 yards
further up the road, just at the junction with a
left hand side road.
(Please note:-
Should it ever happen that a funeral is coming
into Shillelagh Church on the night of the Mass
for Healing, the Mass for Healing will be
switched to Kilquiggan Church which is just
thrree miles away, and the Mass will start 5
minutes late to give people a chance to get
there. Kilquiggan is just a few hundred yards off
the Shillelagh - Tullow road, under the wind
turbines, and there is a signpost for it.)
